RECENT NEWS

PUERTO RICO, September 30
Summer has ended, and I am now back in Puerto Rico. It's a mixed feeling of happiness to be home, and leaving this great summer behind me! But as always, there will be more awsome travels ahead. I have also posted the NEW PRESS RELEASES.

TURKEY
September 11-14: The MARMARA KITEBOARD FESTIVAL

It was a really good week, with wind everyday. The area is absolutly gorgeous; here are a few pictures to prove it!

PKRA SAINT PETER ORDNING, GERMANY
August 29
A lot of people asked me why out of the great pkra events, I had picked Germany! One of the answer is that I wanted some cold weather before going back to Puerto Rico... and I'm getting it. The first day we arrived, it rained so much that the beach flodded! Fortunatly, the weather has been nicer since, and we were able to run all the freestyle, most of the races and we're going to do the boarder cross today.
I'm also happy as I finished 4th in Freestyle:

MONTPELLIER, FRANCE, AUGUST
August 11
Here are a few photos of the trip so far. The first one... well it's France! Home means Antoine's parents' house where we are staying; it is in Montpellier. The second one is where we have kited so far. Beauduc is where we will go this week-end to meet with the Pink-Pack: a group of girls actively promoting girls kiteboarding!

August 4
Someone wisely told me that I mentioned a trip in France in August, but never said where!!!! After spending the week-end in Paris, back to the roots visiting high school friends and doing a lot of shopping, I arrived last night in Montpellier, where I will be untill the 22nd. From now on, we'll be checking the forecast for the area and going wherever it's windy!!! See you there maybe.

CESME, TURKEY, JULY
My parents live in Cesme, which is on the west coast of Turkey, one hour away from Izmir. I had not been there in 2 years, and was looking forward seeing my family, and beiing in Turkey again. My older sister, with her 3 kids, and Antoine. my husband, also met us there, and we all had a really good time. We had fun kiting in front of my parents house ... even if the launch and landing were a little scary (see below)! Turkey not only has great kiting condition, but also the best yogurt, fruits... well I just love turksish food! Today, friday 25 july, I will stay here for one more week before heading to France, where I will meet Antoine, his family, and the photographer Franck Socha for our South of France kitetrip.

LAKE COMO, JULY
Coming back from Maui, I had one day in Puerto Rico before flying to the Lake Como in Italy. There, I was meeting with Kiian and Misultin, and also competiing on the kpwt. Paolo, from Misultin, came to pick me up at the Milan airport, and we headed back to Colico, where the competition was taking place. We also stopped by Kiian's factory, and I got the chance to meet the Kiian team. The week went by, and the wind was unfortunatly not the best, and not having used my biggest kite a lot this year, I got taken out in the first round. We did not have a chance to run the 2nd elimination. Even if the wind was not quiet there, I still enjoyed Lake Como a lot: everyone there was very welcoming and it's just gorgeous!

MAUI TRIP, JUNE
I met in Maui, Hawaii with the Liquid Force team to try all the new 2009 gear, and get some sick shots of it! It was a great week, and I cannot wait to for everyone to ride the 09 kites, boards and accessories... you're gonna love them!
When at kitebeach, Clarissa Hampel also introduced me to a friend of hers, Ryan Toast, who took some really nice shots:
